All the mechanics are focused around the two sticks, both physical and virtual: the left stick moves the Spartan and the right stick points and shoots. Halo: Spartan Strike has great controls in every platform. The other problem of Spartan Strike is that it doesn't try to differentiate itself from Spartan Assault, the previous game. At most it will take you around four hours, and even though it has optional missions, there aren't big incentives for clearing them.

The main problem of Spartan Strike is its short duration. The mission requirements can change at any moment and the enemy lineup gets bigger and bigger, making you update your tactics. The levels in Halo: Spartan Strike have the right rhythm and creativity so as to not tire you. As opposed to the console games, Spartan Strike is focused less on the creativity you face the situations with and more in shooting like crazy. In Halo: Spartan Strike for iPhone you will control a Spartan (a supersoldier like the Master Chief) in a series of linear levels full of action.
